About the project
In the contemporary societies, video gaming fulfils several functions promoting social interaction, health, well-being and unique experiences. At the same time that eSports environment contributes to social benefits, it also provides various risks to the young community because of mocking, insulting, racism, homophobic comments and hate speech.
This project aims to develop the “ENHANCE” model which will analyses, awareness and accomplish the young players community for social side (risks and benefits), future career pathway, and value creation.
Specific objectives:
(A) Identifying of social risks and benefits of eSports on competitive gaming environments: a depth-analysis in the European player youth community.
(B) Raising awareness of player youth communities, decision makers and stakeholders about the social side of the eSports (positive, negative or neutral) and its effects on future career and value creation through connected learning approach.
(C) Intervening in the eSports field in order to prevent toxic behaviours and support prosocial.
