Course Description
The microcredential course provides participants with applied knowledge of cyber physical systems (CPS) used in modern industry and digital environments. Participants will explore the impact of technological advancements through the lens of industrial revolutions, focusing on the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0. They will study cloud technologies, IoT, and IoE systems, ETL and industrial data flows, and their integration into industrial processes, smart cities, and connected services. The course emphasizes practical applications such as cloud manufacturing, smart homes, and smart automation. Participants will learn how technology and human-centred values like sustainability and resilience combine to shape future systems and workplaces. Microcredentials also introduces key cybersecurity principles relevant to industrial IoT, cloud systems, and smart automation, helping students understand how to protect digital infrastructures in Industry 5.0 environments.
